ADMISSIONS
- Admission to the pool is limited to members in good standing, their immediate families (see*) and guests.
- Entrance to the pool facilities requires that membership cards are presented and that all guests sign the Guest Book.
- No pets are allowed in the pool area.
- Admission to the pool is refused to all persons having any contagious or infectious disease.
- There is a $5.00 charge for replacing a lost membership card.
GUEST
- Each family membership, which is defined as one household, will include a guest pass for ten (10) guests.
- Guest fees are $3.00 per person. An additional guest pass, for five guests, may be purchased for $15.00. See the membership chairperson for additional passes.
- Each guest is allowed to visit Big Bend Woods a maximum of 5 times per season.
- Any gathering of 10 or more guests must register as a party. See guidelines.
- There will be member only designated events throughout the season, which may not be limited to, but will include, opening & closing weekends.
- Guests are not permitted on the premises without a member. A member must accompany guests at all times.
- Childcare providers accompanying children of members will be admitted upon paying a $50.00 fee for the season,
- Guests must sign in upon entering the facility.
- Members are responsible for guests’ conduct at all times.
- *Parents, children, and/or grandchildren of club members may be admitted without guest fees upon signing the Guest Book.
SWIMMING POOL AREA
- Food, drink and tobacco will be allowed only in designated areas. Pizza boxes, candy wrappers, and all other miscellaneous waste materials are to be placed in the proper disposal containers. Gum is not permitted.
- For the safety of our members, staff and guests, glass containers of any kind are strictly prohibited anywhere in the facility. Any item that is regularly packaged in glass must be transferred to a non-breakable, plastic container prior to entering the facility.
- No eating, drinking or smoking is allowed while in the pool.
- There will be 10 minutes in each hour whereby only those individuals 18 years and older will be allowed in the pool. This 10 minutes will be run from the hour until 10 minutes after the hour.
- Appropriate behavior is expected at all times anywhere within the pool facility. Inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated. Those members/guests may be asked to leave the premises. If necessary, police enforcement officials may be contacted.
- Chairs & loungers are primarily for use by adults. Children should relinquish them if pool and/or deck begin to fill up.
- Hard balls, tennis balls, hard Frisbees and piggyback rides are not permitted in the pool area.
- Inflatable, swim fins, masks, water guns and all other accessories shall be allowed in the pool at the lifeguard’s discretion.
- Minors must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or sitter (13 years or older).
- No child under the age of 10 will be permitted in the pool unattended until he/she can demonstrate the ability, upon request, to swim one width of the pool in good form and tread water for at least 30 seconds... Parent or legal guardian must be present during testing.
- No child will be permitted in the deep-water section of the pool unless he/she can demonstrate the ability, upon request, to swim one width of the pool in good form and tread water for at least 30 seconds. Parent or legal guardian must be present during testing.
- No oily type sun tan lotions will be permitted in the pool area.
- Running and rough play is prohibited in the pool area at all times. This includes tag and chicken fight games.
- Unnecessary conversation with, or annoying, a lifeguard while on duty will not be permitted.
- Only swimming apparel will be allowed while swimming. No shorts or cut-offs.
- Waste materials are to be placed in the proper disposal containers. Gum is not permitted.
- No diving in water less than 5 feet deep. No swimming in diving area. No flips allowed off the side of the pool.
BABY POOL
- Changing station is located in the women’s restroom. Disposal of all diapers must be placed in a trash receptacle.
- For health reasons, babies will not be permitted in any pool without proper swim diaper.
- No child over the age of six (6) is allowed in the baby pool, even during adult swims.
- Parent or guardian must stay with their children in the baby pool. There is no lifeguard on duty for the baby pool.
DIVING BOARD
- All swimmers must be sitting on the side while people are diving.
- Children are not allowed to stand or wade in the deep end.
- Only one person is allowed on the diving board at a time.
- Only one spring, no double bounces.
- Dive only from the front of the board, do not dive sideways.
- Always check the diving area to be certain that it is clear of swimmers prior to diving.
- After diving, the diver must swim directly to the side of the pool or ladder nearest the board and leave the deep end.
- No hanging on the rope in the deep end.
TENNIS
- Adults have preference after 5pm and on weekends.
- No person or pet is allowed to loiter inside the fence during play.
- No sign-up for regular play. Everyone must wait his or her turn.
- No sitting or jumping on the nets.
- Only members and their guests may use the courts.
- Scooters, skateboards, bicycles, tricycles, roller blades, etc are not allowed on the courts.
- Tennis courts are for tennis only. No other sports permitted.
- Tennis players and spectators are responsible for depositing their own litter in the trash can near the gate.
- Tennis shoes only.
- The roll dryer(s) should be hung on the fence after use.
- Time Limits: Singles—One hour; Doubles—One and one half hours
HOURS
- The pool will be open from the beginning of the Memorial Day weekend through the Labor Day weekend.
- Regular pool hours are from 12 noon to 8:00 pm weekdays and 12 noon to 9:00 pm on weekends. (Open everyday until 9:00 pm from 6/15 to 8/15).
- The pool is open 7 days a week. Periodically, the pool may be closed for swim meets or other club sanctioned events. These occurrences will be kept to a minimum.
POOL PROPERTY
- All members shall drive slowly and carefully on the parking lot and temporary grass parking area.
- Damage to club property, including trees and shrubbery, will not be permitted. Any person that shall cause such damage shall be held personally responsible. Individuals guilty of abuse, vandalism or theft of pool property will be suspended for the season. Serious offenders will be prosecuted.
ENFORCEMENT
POOL RULES APPLY AT ALL TIME (I.E. POOL HOURS, PARTIES, SWIM MEETS, ETC)
Violations of rules may result in:
First Offense One-Day Suspension
Second Offense One-Week Suspension
Third Offense Season Suspension
Parent will be notified of all offenses.
PARENTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ENSURING CHILDREN ARE AWARE OF THE RULES DESCRIBED ABOVE.
ALL RULES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE IF CONDITIONS SO REQUIRE.
